Son playing Alwyn's The Sea is Angry. Not hugely accurate but lots of gusto (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Driving over to our new office in Horsforth this morning I listened to Scriabin Op11 preludes, and then Equale Brass playing fugues by Bach (some WTC, some organ ones) and Shostakovich (Op87 ones).
That a great CD for brass lovers, and I say that even if I normally shy away from arrangements |

Hortus Musicus (dir. Andres Mustonen), Himmel Earth Heaven Erde. One of three CDs I bought in Tallinn, the other two having been mentioned on pages 54 and 57.

I'm afraid my musical purchases there were not so distinguied, though - if memory serves, I bought some Estonian pop music (ranging from rather good to hysterically bad!) and the Hilary and Jackie soundtrack (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
