This has probably been done a million times before but I was quite interested, having recently bought the Berliner Philharmoniker version.
Which recording do people think is best? I've heard that the Previn & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra version is supposed to be excellent... PS IMHO Jupiter is just the most beautiful piece of music...! |

Listening to, and, indeed, playing Mars was really boring, in my opinion. Jupiter is much better!
Mind you, the string part of Mars is the most boring thing I can imagine, in my experience. |

Venus - wonderful writing for the woodwind section, solo violin and cello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

I can't remember how they go.... The only copy I've ever had available is a record that my Grandma owns.... Off the top of my head, Mars and Jupiter are equally fantastic - but I remember liking Venus too, I just can't remember it properly now! Need to listen again sometime...

Love Jupiter
However, Venus captivates me and I usually drift off to another planet, literally. It really is a most beautiful piece. |

As with most of the people who appear to have voted thus far, my choice was between Mars and Jupiter. Went for Jupiter in the end.

I don't think I've ever heard Venus...
Listening to Uranus, it really does sound fun to play! |
