Pchess informs me that I should remember him because he remembers me being very amused when he mistook the chocolate sauce for gravy one mealtime... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Seriously, that's so lovely that something twelve years ago had such an effect (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

Delighted you're thinking of coming on the Spring Course. I think it is going to be the best yet...specifically for conductors and singers of all types and levels...I will of course keep you (and the forum!) posted as soon as we have a few more details finalised.

I didn't say you should remember me - I didn't expect you to. I just thought there was an outside chance that you might recall the chocolate sauce/gravy incident. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'm trying to remember some of the other people in the group: Sian Davies, of the Academy of St. Martins in the Fields, and Siwsann George, Welsh folk singer and player of spoons extraordinaire, spring to mind. IIRC our course tutor for musicianship was a lady named Sarolta.

Actually, it rather frightens me that something 12 years ago seems so recent.

Er, I didn't mean that you had said I SHOULD remember you but that I should remember you BECAUSE...er, if you see what I mean! This is where inflection is difficult to express in the written word - argh!

I don't remember the spoons player! But of course I know Sian Davies, wonderful Dalcroze teacher (we're hoping she's going to do a Dalcroze workshop specifically aimed at singers at the Spring Course) and your solfege teacher was the supreme Sarolta Platthy (we're hoping to have her back on the Summer School next year).

Sadly, Siwsann is no longer with us. She was quite ill when she attended the summer school in 2000.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/4527179.stm refers.

I've been trying to find the photos I took during the BKASS of 2000. That's the trouble with digital photos: the computer dies and although you transfer stuff around, it so easily gets lost.

Edit: Found them (or rather my son did)!

In the photo of me, trying to keep my balance while sitting on a chair, I did not drink all that wine on my own.
