ok, well the only update that counts since this lot is that my flute score is now a Grade 5 distinction.

So that moves me up to

ABFORA = 265

ABUCAS = 275


And with last year's grade 6 flute shifting the balance from ABFORA to ABUCAS I now have

ABFORA

Grade 5 violin merit = 85
Grade 5 piano distinction = 90

Total = 175

ABUCAS

Grade 6 flute distinction = 45
Grade 8 theory pass = 55
Grade 8 prac. mus. merit = 70
Grade 8 recorder distinction = 75
Grade 8 singing distinction= 75

Total = 320

I haven't taken as many exams as I have mustered achievements, if that makes sense (grades are expensive), but for me:

ABFORA
G4 merit violin - 70
G5 theory pass - 70

ABUCAS
G8 dist viola - 75
G7 pass recorder - 40
G6 pass flute - 25

Those last two might not be entirely fair, though, as I took them with boards that didn't award merits or distinctions, you passed or didn't pass. The RMSM-TEQ ones are to do with your pay grade so you take a qualification related to the primary role you have in the forces, so musicians take music exams. There is no point awarding high, middle and low passes, as even a scrape pass gets you over the line, they just advised you to sit the next one up ASAP. If I'd known the system I could have had my TEQ1 instead (grade 8) by entering on violin.

I don't have that many exam results so I'm quite low on the UCAS points. Can my A-level Music count? I'd get another 100 for that!

ABUCAS Points come to 150 (Music Theatre 6 @M, Theory 7 @P, Singing 8 @M) and ABFORA points come to 10 for Grade 1 Violin at pass...
