Avoiding my maths and trying to persuade myself that going to the piano would result in not doing any more maths today. And the maths is urgent. So the piano is a Bad Idea. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
I admit telling a music forum that I'm trying to avoid ruining a maths day with music is a bit silly and probably isn't helping me avoid the lure of the piano...

Do a bit of the maths, and use the piano as a reward for having done it. Repeat until the maths is done....

Yes, you are right. 20 minutes more and then I shall go and reward myself with the piano. Then the problem of stepping away from the piano and coming back to the maths shall be tackled. I'm not hugely motivated today! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Think I need to talk to my teacher on Friday, see what he suggests.

So definitely clarinetting rather than violining then, Louise (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well definitely not violining Barry, maybe flute but I'm a bit dubious to commit unless I can find a teacher to help me prepare the piece. It is more likely to be clari, and I think I might have found something (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) if you don't mind.

Will have a word with teacher, there are three or four possibles, then let you know what you're letting yourself in for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
