I'm so bored...

I'm at work, I've got lots and lots and lots to do, but as is so often the way, it's all out at testing.
8 things in testing. 1 thing that I can't start until one of the things in testing is finished. 1 thing that I can't start until after that. And 1 thing I can't do anything with until someone who is on holiday comes back and gives me the information I actually need in order to carry out her request.

I just know they will all come back at once and need amending immediately, but in the meantime here I am just sitting at my desk, looking at the sunshine, wondering how to fill up my day between now and home time...!

If you have access to a radio then there's David Sedaris on Radio 4 at 11.30 am, then on Radio 3 jacques Loussier for an hour, starting at 1 pm. They'll get my day going with a swing!

If I'd brought my headphones I'd be catching up on podcasts and listening to the radio...but I didn't (and I'm in an open plan office).

However, the Baen Free Library has come to my rescue with a free book to read (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I've jsut volunteered to make two not-fruit cakes for a wedding next Saturday.

I've never made a non-fruit cake in my life (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Going to be a fun weekend with trying and tasting, my colleagues are probably going to like me come Monday morning when I turn up laden with my experiments that need eating up...

You got out lightly! A friend of mine offered to make "a cake" for an informal wedding buffet. This has now morphed into 8 large (non-fruit) cakes for tomorrow, apparently she has a team of 6 icers lined up for tomorrow morning, a couple of banana cakes in the freezer and got up and started baking at 6am this morning before work. She has been bringing in her experiments for a couple of weeks to general appreciation. Not that there is a lack of cake in our office anyway, in fact there wan't a cake-free day this week!

I don't know what the etiquette on posting two consecutive posts on the same topic is....

The forums seem awfully quiet tonight! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Snoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Did someone say something?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I am bored. Basil and Kate are watching the golf and will be until it's over. For me it's like watching paint dry.
Can't play piano or flute because little Jen is asleep and I'll wake her.
Think I will go to bed and read my book.
