I'll be Peggy. I've got a girl in my choir who's a bit like that, but I'm fighting a losing battle with her because she's had 'singing lessons' from a lady at church who used to be an opera singer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) You're in! I hope you know how to knit shapeless things and drink tea loudly, though... Just changed my sig now - come on Zovut, get Doris in there. |

Knitting shapelessly comes naturally to me - it's knitting in a straight line I've had to work on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Just altered my sig too. I'm now expecting a lot of pms addressing me as 'Peggy'! And yes, I'm very good at knitting shapeless garments and moaning about the state of my ankles. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Maud here agrees too. That noise is not a good idea for the young lady's future vocal health.

Oh dear, what have I started?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well my alter-ego twin old-timer is Mable so expect to see both of us around. Rather strayed from the thread topic but ho-hum, perhaps no-one noticed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Anyone like some nice garibaldi biscuits 'best before' 1991? *whips up apple tart with eyes shut* Oh dear... Will that do? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Only if it has pastry made with more lard than you can find in a pig (trex, anyone?...) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Maud here agrees too. That noise is not a good idea for the young lady's future vocal health. Maud! Inspired, however, Katyjay, you've shot yourself in the foot here. If you're going to be an old lady AND a singer (especially in church) you're going to have to develop a vibrato of about a tone and a half and learn to sing just enough out of time to upset the inner ear of any musicians nearby. You've been warned! Oh dear, what have I started?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well my alter-ego twin old-timer is Mable so expect to see both of us around. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Pass ''em round, I'll have em with tea you can stand the spoon up in (full of sugar and, naturally, drunk out of the saucer). I'm confused - are you Mable or are you Gladys...? Maybe one twin is evil? |

There'll be tears before bedtime, you mark my words, if that young lady keeps on like that.
