The honey jar in my cupboard says on the lid "best before 15 December 2011".

Is this a bit odd? How can they be that exact over a gap of 14 months?

And isn't it a bit barmy anyway? I mean, they found honey in the pyramids that was 5000 years old and not decayed at all, so what's going to happen in 14 months?

Although I suppose it doesn't matter really - we'll have eaten it long before December 2011.

It always makes me laugh when bottled water has "filtered through volcanic rocks for millions of years" and such and then "Best Before End:" on the bottle! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well I suppose that when it's bottled, it's no longer free flowing and hence becomes stale what with lack of constant oxygenation and also build up of bacteria...? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I can smell condensed milk.
I can't see any in the room, so I am most probably imagining it, but it's just making me want to sit down with a tin and a spoon and scoff some...

Does it really take an hour an a quarter to cook a stir fry, plus a half hour gently hinting that 'starting to cook now would be good...' ? Housemates...

Why is it, that when you have visited friends who are very ill, and then you go home, you should feel good that you are not ill yourself and your priorities are crystal clear...........yet I feel flat and sad?

Because your nature is to care about people, and I don't just mean professionally.
