How does it compare for difficulty with the interval from Bb down to C?

How does it compare for difficulty with the interval from Bb down to C? the same! I think the problem (this at least is the theory I am working on) is the fact that B#/C is one of the low notes of the sax, and I don't always find it easy to make them sound cleanly, neatly etc when I want them to. Although I know my embouchure should be relaxed throughout, I don't think it is. Maybe another glass of wine will help me chill. I guess it's a matter of doing lots of falling intervals that land up on those notes Hope I can crack this before February - or it's back to the drawing board at short notice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) |

I know it's, enharmonically speaking, the same interval. But sometimes the labelling has a psychological effect on getting the notes. I find that at times on the recorder particularly.

I find that at times on the recorder particularly. yes, I realise that, and it's a good thought, thank you. But I am limited in fingering, so I may have to re-think it. There are actually a few fingerings for the first note, but only one seems to make sense - and only one fingering for the low C --- I suspect it may be just hard work! thanks ... I may end up emailing a sax player I know (hoping her broadband is working!) |
