Great programme and Victoria/Pimlico is day-trippable from here. I will have to negotiate with family given it is Guy Fawkes Night, however given I can easily get back to Kings Cross and catch a train back... this looks very probable and the music is extremely attractive.
+ I've heard good things about Lorraine and Tom's playing, Barry's heard me sing and I should return the favour and hear him play the clarinet.

Depending on the age limit I might have a child with me ( the boys have excellent behaviour in concert halls and know about the silent bit or we may make it a family affair).
(edit: these are the children who sat glued to Classical String Quartets for my 40th Birthday!)

Hi Jod, fine to bring the boys along. I am not too bothered about noise as I have a toddler so am used to practicing in a toddler war zone! I will leave her at home on this occasion but There will be some of my piano students there who are aged six upwards.

great! Not quite decided what we're doing, but this could work out quite well as they can listen to one two or three concerts. All dependent on what hubby decides... They like recitals and like London (especially if a trip to Hamley's can be accommodated too!)

I've had to book the venue for 6 hours now so the costs are mounting as they charge per the hour - eek!!

I bring you bad news (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) , but also good news (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The bad news is that this recital, due to unforeseen circumstances, has had to be cancelled (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

but...

The good news (oh, why not, let's have a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif) ) is that my bit of the recital has been shifted to a new venue, and a new day : it will be at Room 2 of Peregrine Pianos (Grays Inn Road, Farringdon/King's Cross tube, or buses 17, 45, 46 pass the door) on Saturday 26th November at 1:40pm.

Spaces are strictly limited to 20 audience members, so I'd appreciate it if you can let me know in advance if you can come along. Admission will be 5 GBP (and 2 GBP for concessions). All profit will go to the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice.

I will now ask the mods to lock this thread, and I'll start a new one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
