It is simply the most beautiful looking instrument in the world! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

No no no. It lacks the sheer elegance of "you know what". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

True though that there are some wonderful bassoon solos and beginning of "The Rite" has to be one of the most incredible sounds in all of music. I think Igor had a definite affinity with the "bundle of sticks". Nice oboe parts too though.

"The Recorder", that's what you're being euphemistic about, isn't it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think I might have these motorway things sussed now...

I even overtook lots of lorries. And only got undertaken by a twit in a white van once. And I discovered that the little tamsinmobile will do 80. If going down hill with my foot to the floor...

It's North and West Yorkshire, actually (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I get that train every day, and I wish we could get nice new trains rather than hand-me-downs from the south (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

These are quite old trains. Not withstanding a recent comprehensive refurbishment, these trains were new in 1980. Making them over thirty years old...

Shows how much of a budget issue there is in the transport department!

I have discovered Cziffra's MENTAL versions of piano works, thanks to the amazing pianist who played the first half of the First Night of the Proms - He did Cziffra's version of Brahms' Hungarian Dance no. 5 as his encore and I am now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Wish I could play like that!!

That pianist can only get better. He is clearly not as good as some of the great pianists but given time he could be a very sought after pianist!
