If anybody knows the Linkin Park Song Runaway can they help me. In the bit where it goes "I'm gonna runaway, and never say goodBYE." There is a nice Drum riff in the background. I think It's all on the tom-toms and floor/side tom. Can anybody help as I don't know if it is right and i'm performing it soon!!!

How can you tell the sizes of the drums, just from listening to the recording??

Rob will have spent a while tuning his drums, and selecting the right heads... And then his producer will have spent time EQ-ing the drum sound to perfection, once it's been recorded...

How do you think that, after all this "tweeking" of sound, you'll be able to know what sizes the drums are??

Using different tunings, different heads and studio tricks, it is quite possible to make a 16" bass drum sound like a 24" bass drum, and vice-versa... I know a guy who has done this!

If I asked you, would you be able to tell me whether Rob is using a maple or a birch kit on that recording? What weight/length of sticks he's playing with? Or perhaps whether he's using coated or clear batters and resos?

Hi Ade, I know the song and have the Hybrid Theory album. Can you read drum tab? If you can then I can tab it for you?

The band use mostly electronic drums on record! So you might just have to listen out and see how you can approximate it on your own kit!
