I had a house rabbit called "Rex" - not sure why he ended up being called Rex, but the name seemed to suit him! He was very tame and friendly - people were amazed to see a rabbit living in the house. Unfortunately he died back in the summer - lived for 8 and a half years which is not bad going for a rabbit!
A photo of him - he was a Tan rabbit, not a breed you see often. Click to see full size image. (IMG:http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a256/StuartWilson/th_P1010008.jpg) |

We had a huge New Zealand White rabbit called Snowy (he was about the size of a blue whale). A black labrador called Duke. Another rabbit called Moses (we found him in the rushes). A goldfish called Billy. Three cats Kayleigh, Tommy, Lisa. Now got a tank full of tropical fish (as yet un-named). Forgot to mention my tortoise called Sweeney |

Hamish is a house rabbit during the winter. I quite often find him curled up with Brodie infront of the fire (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). |

My first ever cat as a child was Sandy.. a big ginger tom;
A gerbil called Gerald because he reminded me of the greengrocer round the corner, of the same name! Then a brother and sister called Midge ( from the otter in Ring of Bright Water) and Jacey (They were born at Easter so JC became Jacey) Then another brother and sister called Bertie and Jess ( after my maternal grandparents!!) Then I took in Bertie and Jess's sister (Pussy Cat) when they were four months old. (My sister had her first, but couldn't keep her). Pussy Cat is the tortoiseshell who I lost in June. She was 16 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I now have Charlie, a big black cat who's 11! |

Current pair of cats are Merry and Pippin (because they would have seven breakfasts a day if they thought they could). Originally named Madelaine and Mathilda which we just couldn't keep.
They replaced Aslan (giant amongst felines), Cuddles (not the cuddliest) and Hangover (only female in the litter of brandy, whisky...). I want an old English sheepdog called Gandalf. |

My cat's called Simba because he's got the same colour fur as the character from The Lion King (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Do you want to adaopt my cat as your Ganalf in the meantime, virtually of course as I'd miss him terribly if he wasn't around. |

I have a chocolate lab called Rosie ( not very original), who's nearly 2, and a 13-year-old black cat called Klio (named after an asteroid or something - she used to be the university's atsronomy cat that lived in the telescope dome, but we had to have her because they couldn't get planning permission for a catflap in the new building thats being built (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)).
I was going to put on a pic, but couldn't work it out. How do you put on pics from your hard drive (rather than the net)? |

I sometimes wonder if it's because her fur is the colour of rosewood (probably not!) |

Brother and sister cats - called after trees, Linden and Rowan - he was killed aged two but Rowan is still going strong after 18 years
Clem - who had been called Buffy but was renamed because her 'husband' was Winston (who had a very high opinion of himself and expected to be adored by all) All black Chancer survived many an adventure (being thrown out of a car on the M8; rescued by Austrailians in a camper van but could not take him back to Australia; had three more homes before crawling to me with a bad bite and very sick) but he still took his life in his paws on a daily basis - died this year aged 16 Black Lab Moses - after one that was found in the rushes Miniature dash hound called Jinja after a town in Uganda Coffee - the chocolate coloured terrier Sam - the white half lab Bliss - the springer spaniel and current incumbent - because she does look so blissful when chasing rabbits. |

Well...
We have dog called Beano... not too sure why, but we acquired him from someone who was moving abroad so it's not our fault. My friend thinks he should be called Basil Brush as he looks a bit like him... just larger... He is a Nova Scotia Dock Tolling Retriever (honest.....) Bit like a red retriever. Then we have a kitten who was feral... there were 3 tiny kittens in our garden and when we returned from hols in May, one was dead and one disappeared so we captured the last one... whom my daughter named Covy... short for Shostacovich... we were playing something by him at wind band. Perhaps not a terribly suitable name for a black female cat. Then we have a rabbit named Becky... but it's a male and a guinea pig whose name we have forgotten..... |
