And I thought the pot-holes were bad in Hertfordshire:

I hope no one fell in, but right at the junction, surely not everyone escaped!
I agree about potholes in Hertfordshire, we were near you in Sawbridgeworth for the weekend, and the roads are atrocious.

My commute, as you probably know, takes me from where I live in Hertfordshire, to where I work in Essex.
There is quite literally a line across the road - where Essex tarmac'd up to the border. And the Essex roads are just brilliant. They get potholes, of course, but they get filled with a nice level filling and fully resurfaced when that's necessary.
Hertfordshire is just rubbish. The bit between Harlow and Sawbo I don't think was ever done properly, the top layer of the tarmac doesn't reach the curb on either side and it is just nightmare for riding. Where potholes are filled, they are still with a dip, or in one or two cases over-filled and become a lump. Drains are patched around, when the patch fails it is re-patched, and re-patched, and re-patched...just dreadful stuff!

Why on my laptop, when I move the cursor around, do I get a google search 'rectangle' opening up, providing a translation of what it's pointing at, into Italian/Spanish?

Anyone any ideas? How do I get rid of it?

Swap you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'm not a fan of the hot weather-I'm virtually cold blooded, and I prefer the weather as such too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif)

I had this last week. I managed to get rid of it, but I can't remember how! Sorry!

Fortunately, I too managed to get rid of it, when a box opened up allowing me to choose not to receive immediate translation of what the cursor was pointing at. Nor have i been able successfully to find that box again. Ho hum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
