Hope this is OK to post, there will be an auction of pianos this week in London, with viewings starting on Tuesday 6th Dec. More at http://www.pianoauctions.co.uk/dates.php .

I'd say this is a good opportunity to pick up an instrument at a competitive price, if you do your research. They usually have an expert on hand who will happily discuss any particular instrument you might be interested in. I have both bought (one) and sold (two) pianos at auction without any problems.

I'm liking this!

"93 Bechstein-Moor A rare 6ft 6in double keyboard grand piano in an ebonised case on square tapered legs. The unique double keyboard allowing the pianist to play two simultaneous octaves, one higher than the other. The middle pedal allows an octave linkage to the other keyboard. A small number of these instruments were made by Bechstein in collaboration with Emanuel Moor, a Hungarian composer and pianist. "

Sounds fab!

Some good Steinways there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
