Hi

Apologies if this has been asked and answered - I have had a quick look but could not find this information. The string sylabus is about to change as the last session for the current one is March 07 - the new piano one is up on the web, but not the string syllabus. Does anyone know when we can expect to be able to download it, or at least the grade 8 part, in order to choose material for Sept?

Thanks for any info.

A quote from the page I directed you to........

Piano & Bowed Strings 2005 and 2006
The lists and requirements for Piano and Bowed Strings remain unchanged from 2005. New lists for Piano will be issued in July 2006 and will be valid for 2007-08. New lists for Violin (valid for 2008-11) and for Viola (valid from 2008) will be issued in July 2007.

Hope this helps (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It does help a bit, but it would be more helpful if they updated their syllabus pages so that instead of saying '2005 and 2006' for all the bowed strings it said '2005-2007' for violin and viola and '2005 until further notice' (or somesuch) for cello and bass.

From which season are you allowed to do the exam from the new syllabus?
