Yes, I've sung it. I think we stagger the breathing at that point! Which works really well until there's only one clarinettist to play the note (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

Indeed! I am sometimes the sole soprano on cantoris, and it does feel very exposed.

Consort music for viols by Byrd and Dowland including 'Lachrimae', played by Fretwork... wonderfully evocative... going through a 17th century English phase at the moment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Ahh - good choice! (IMG:http://www.emoticonsfree.org/wp-content/uploads/jumping0002.gif) Indeed! I am sometimes the sole soprano on cantoris, and it does feel very exposed. I've sung some Whitacre, but can't remember what it was! Morten Lauridsen is similar in that respect at times |

Purely coincidentally, you've now helped me put the name to the tune that was running through my head a couple of days last week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

We have to learn to play this and about 10 other pieces for a Symphonic Salsa concert to close a cultural festival on April 1st. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) |
