I have just signed up to take part in a string workshop in Nottingham on the afternoon of 18th February. It is called 'Manly Baroque' and is tutored by the viola player, Robin Ireland.
The programme is:
Bach - Brandenburg 3
Telemann - Viola Concerto
Grieg - Holberg Suite
Purcell - Chaconne

Cost is £10

Is anyone else going?

I might like to go to it. Is there a website with more information about it?

I'm playing the Holberg suite at a concert next Saturday with a local orchestra. None of us viola players wants to play the long, fast viola solo in the last movement.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) "Manly" baroque and tutored by a male?... sounds a bit biased to me.

I guess you really intended MAINLY baroque.

Nice to see you too... Had great time, though I preferred Robin's rehearsal tempo to the performance one!!
