An asking price of ?6,800 for an instrument about which no information is given except that it is "baroque style" and made by "G Wright". Not even the size.

I saw a Strad on there once for just $50,000. Bargain! Amazingly it did not sell.

It's an excellent example of how not to write an ebay listing, and the photography is dreadful. But the starting price is not at all unreasonable for a handmade instrument, and any potentially interested parties could always contact the seller for more information.

There must be more to that viola than meets the eye (as lovely as it is on the eye).

I'd contact the seller, with some searching questions, and ask for a trial period before bidding...
