If you won the lottery, I'd have to buy a gas mask for your cars' fumes, and a wind turbine and some solar panels to make up for the extra CO2 emissions.

P.S We are NOT rich, but just OK. I have met VERY rich people who are NOT happy. My mum has to much money. And a big house and nice cars. She wouldnt buy me a pair of socks though - said I had to ask my dad...(I have more important things to spend money on, like petrol, dolly mixtures and flutes) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) On topic : a nice large house which I can fill with (more) musical instruments would be nice..... |

I have met VERY rich people who are NOT happy. As George Harrison said, money can't buy you love, but it does mean you can park your boat right next to it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I would buy lots of pairs of black socks. The ultimate flute whatever it maybe with downloadable upgrades and coffee making facilities for long rehersals. A cottage in the Cairngorms where it is absolutely beautiful. Some Malibu, and a vintage MG in British racing green. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I'll MOOR my boat right next to it, then... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Aw, is this new Rocky Mountain not as funny as the original then? *shame* (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

I don't actually know what I would buy if I won a significant amount of money... I'd buy as many woodwind instruments as I could get my hands on and a nice house in the middle of nowhere so I could play them at all hours, but beyond that.... Give it away? Or just let it rot in my bank account. I certainly don't want/need the kind of house I'd need to buy to spend the best part of 2 million on it!

I think alot would depend on my situation at the time, but right now, although it isn't possible for me to win, I would pay for a holiday for my friends and I, possibly a riding holiday in Wales where we have been twice with school, or maybe somwhere in central Europe. I would love to buy a Ted Baker or Zeta electric violin, a grand piano and take up a new instrument. I would love to help out a friend whos family is in financial difficulty at the moment, as well as a lot of emotional turmoil, but I doubt her mum would accept any money.
If I had my own house I would also love to make it more eco-friendly with recycling/composting systems and solar cells etc. |

Hehe. Well I got given a lottery ticket for my birthday today, so we'll have to wait and see what happens!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) If I won, I don't know what I'd buy.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Obviously some new clarinets, but I don't really need anything else, and I don't need to win the lottery to get the things I would like.

Obvious things: pay off mortgage/student loan and that of friends and family.
Buy really amazing flute (or flutes) and many headjoints to play with, plus alto and bass flutes. Give substantial chunks to various charities that I support and building fund at chapel. Help out friends financially where necessary. Don't buy tickets though, so am unlikely to win (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
