Keep posting! Pianoboe x Well I have to say it's heartwarming to know my music reaches you and everyone else who has posted kind thoughts here. I take it you play piano and oboe? The oboe is a very beautiful instrument. Thank you again..... Blessings Phillip Confession: I'm hopeless with computers and finding my way around forums so a collective welcome and blessings to all the newcomers since I joined. PW |

The birthday list tells us that it's Phillip Wilcher's 50th birthday today... Phillip is an Australian composer who only contributed very briefly to these forums last August but his music is beautiful.
He probably won't see any Happy Birthday message, but I've resurrected this thread as a birthday tribute because I love his music which is on his web site. www.phillipwilcher.com Thank you Phillip (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I'm so sorry to have been out of touch. I've perhaps mentioned before I am no computer whiz and having forgotten my username and pass word, it's been quite a journey today to find my way back here to send you all this greeting. Some of you may be interested to know there are other examples of my music to be found on Youtube. I don't quite know how to direct you there, so good luck in the search. I just hope you all receive this message of thanks from me because it comes from my heart which is beating ever faster with the joy of knowing you have thought so warmly of me. I'm really touched. So what does it feel like to turn 50? I don't know - I'm still 3!! Love and best wishes for now - I'll try keep in touch more regularly and maybe next year I'll find myself back in London. I was there in 2006 and LOVED it! Phillip |

Hello Phillip! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wave.gif)
Nice to see you again! When I resurrected your thread for your birthday, I looked for and found some of your clips on Youtube - at that time there had only been a few comments as the clips had only just been loaded but it seems that everyone loves your music (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's such a pity that your CDs aren't available in this country, or on Amazon etc - I looked last year and I looked again a couple of weeks ago... do you have any plans to sell your CDs here or online? |

Hello Phillip! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wave.gif) Nice to see you again! Hi Skylark and everyone, I am hoping to have most of my piano music uploaded to Youtube. I released my own CDs although the ABC have recorded my Ballade and there are several other CD releases through Australia Music Centre, Tall Poppies and Publications by Wirripang. The piano music was easiest to get recorded. Sometime this year my publisher (Publications by Wirripang) will be releasing a CD for my 50th ( but I'm still going on 3!!) which will include some flute/oboe and string orchestra music together with other pieces. If anyone really would like to purchase my CDs, it would best to contact the Australia Music Centre through their website..... But you know, this all sounds awfully business like and I want to get back to conveying to everyone my heartfelt thanks for your generosity of spirit. It really mean a lot to me! Blessings ever and best wishes Phillip Thank you! It's lovely to be welcomed again! Thank you! Yes, it was lovely, mostly because I've received so many well wishes from folk like yourself who only really know me through my music. Cheers! I agree, his music is beautiful, well worth a listen. If you happen to be reading this, Phillip - Happy birthday! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Thank you for your thoughts and kind words! Many thanks! The responses to my birthday have been overwhelming and heart warming. Cheers for now.... Welcome to the forums! I really like your music too .... and I agree with Miss Ross that "'hauntingly beautiful' just about sums it up " (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Thank you! I lost touch but I'm finding my way back to these forums poco a poco..... It means a lot to me to know that my music reaches people and the recent birthday wishes I received from folk from these forums has overwhelmed me. Thanks again.... |

Thank you! I lost touch but I'm finding my way back to these forums poco a poco..... Will look forward to hearing your next news, and thanks for the information (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) You're welcome. Thanks again. It's a wet cold day here in Sydney but the mornings are lighter. I feed the doves that frequent our yard every morning in honour of my mother whose 79th birthday it would have been today - so I'm here now "Skylarking" as the gentle doves gather to eat their grain. They work their way in circles from the outside in. You can read about my mother in the "Tribute Pages" of my website in a piece titled "An Unforgettable Joy" - the doves are there too! Wonders of nature...... Are you from London? Blessings ever..... |
