Now I have three weeks for solid recorder practice before my grade 8. (yes, it's an exam, but it doesn't count (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

Cool, enjoy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Must be a weight off your shoulders to have all those out of the way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I've had a great week working with reception and year 1 at my old primary school as a teaching assistant! They say the funniest things! I'm SO tired after just 3 days (TD day on monday), and I really don't know how the full time teachers do it, and I admire them greatly! I'm going to miss working with them after tomorow, but I think i'll volunteer for longer because I love working there! The children don't half moan though, In the space of 15 minutes at afternoon break I had 11 children come and say "She said this...He called me this...They wont let me play with them...they hit me!" etc! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I've also been asked at short notice to come and do a masterclass with International Concert Pianist Richard Meyrick, which is very exciting! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'm not sure what i'll play, i've been working on the Prelude from Debussy's Suite Bergamasque, as well as La Cathedrale Engloutie. I've also been learning 2 rachmaninov preludes which are the G minor and the G# minors, but I don't think they're quite ready to do in a masterclass... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I need to decide which of the two Debussy pieces to play...

Cool, I normally just infuriate and frustrate people (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I've broken the habit of a lifetime!

That'll be the contrast between being a neon queen and normal everyday life putting a dampener on things, then? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Concert last night was fun, if terrifying. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) We the junior choir sang four songs with silly words as the theme - Doo wah diddy, Da doo ron ron ron, We go together (from Grease) and the Witch-doctor song. (Oo, ee, oo ah ah...)
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) We all went VERY hyper afterwards, and ran around laughing at everything.
(I won't mention my solo...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif))

Well, it's Friday! Despite the fact that I had about 2 hours sleep last night I'm officially cheered up.. Cheerier than a cheery cheerleader on Prozac (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hmm, I spent last night writing an essay, then tiding my room, then packing half my stuff away to take home this weekend, which I shall spend working. Not happy events! I suppose I shall live though... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Could be a lot worse I suppose (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I don't think the weather is going to be spectacular this weekend so you may not end up missing much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Must admit to having a few chuckles to myself; a workmate is going to Glastonbury and reckoned he wouldn't need wellies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Ahahaha, poor guy!

Yes, it could be worse - it could be next Friday, when I have to go home for three months!
