Just Aaaaagh ...... Things went a bit pear shaped today and as a result I'm really really REALLY tired ...

Daughter's party. My sister broke down. Husband had to do an hour round trip to collect them, leaving me to cook party food and do games. Then he dropped my sister and kids off later. Supposed to be picked up by tow truck at 6:30 and it didn't arrive till 8.!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/argh.gif)

So I got all the tidying up and putting kids to bed jobs too. More importantly though he missed a good chunk of her "day."

Thankfully it's not her actual birthday until tomorrow.

Sorry things didn't go according to plan, Dawn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Did your daughter like the lovely cake? I expect that as long as her friends turned up she wouldn't miss her Dad very much at the party, and you can have a lovely, family day tomorrow.

Hope you sleep well and feel fighting fit again tomorrow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Microwave when bang yesterday...
sink got blocked.....
DD's flute appears not to be working... a trip to repairers later....she has her Gr 7 in a few weeks...
went around to see my neighbours about a planning application, to find their adult daughter (who used to be our babysitter) there- telling me her lovely parents had split up .... adult daughter's lovely brother got killed in a road accident 6 1/2 years ago- so spent a long time chatting to lovely daughter- who understandably is finding it all very, very hard. The whole story was so, so sad........
Our ex lodgers appear to have moved back in as the house they were now living in has been re-possessed as the landlord wasn't paying the mortgage with their rent and was drinking it and they are now homeless. Their parents live a long way away, so we kind of keep an eye on them and look after them. Didn't necessarily want anyone living back with us though.... so that's all a bit stressful!

Sigh....
I also have a TMA to do this weekend... so I better start sorting out some of this now......

Thanks Berkshiremum! Got a Tesco's Value microwave to bide us over until we can get the old one repaired (it was quite a good one).... TWO trips to the music repairers resulted in a working flute! The sink is now unblocked.... and I have at least started my TMA so feel a bit better!

She LOVED her cake. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Still very (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Fighting an allergy thing at the moment (look up cold urticaria) and the piriton is knocking me out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Not entirely sure it's purely this as only getting the reaction in areas where rubbing/pressure is too. -Mainly on fingers/feet but had a nasty flare up on my thighs the other day after being out in biting wind - wearing trousers but probably not thick enough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This is a new one for me and set off post flu a couple of weeks ago.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Feeling fed up with sciatica which has been bad past couple of days. Really wearing and uncomfortable. Been struggling with weight gain, and the combination of unwanted weight and sciatica just makes me feel frumpy and grumpy.

Sorry, that sounds very moany... just feeling sorry for myself. Obviously there are much more serious medical problems that people have, but this one really gets me down sometimes.

Don't apologise for being moany: There is nothing worse for getting you down that being in pain. Hope you feel better soon.

My ARGHHHH!!! is that MS Word HATES ME. I keep loosing bits of work. Odd things, like accidentally deleting a graph from a report. Or moving paragraphs to somewhere AWOL. That said, I've also had a few 'total loss of all edits to file' over the last few days. Its just IRRITATING. I need to get this report written, and its making it all the more painful a process! Feels like I'm taking as many steps backwards as forwards.

And then, to add to that, I've got a cold. I've only just finished up the anitbiotics (which made me throw up everywhere) to clear up tonsillitis. My whole immune system seems to be on strike, and I really don't have time for the R'n'R required to get it back into operation. That said, I also don't have any more time/patience for being ill.

GRRGRRGRRGRR.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Actually, re-reading that, it would appear that I no longer have patience for anything.... [/ rant]

Hope you feel better soon, Tamsin.

My ARGH is just job application forms, especially those which want an application form, CV and covering letter. Just get so fed up of doing them - it takes a while to get them to sound decent/plan them.
