I shall play it to you sometime soon, Lois. Then you can make your mind up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Most definately Barry. It's a shame I haven't been able to make your last few recitals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

Perhaps I should've done one in the Midlands as well as a northern and a southern one... |

Hello, does anyone know any piece for a clarinet-flute duet? with the flute being about G5/6 standard and Clarinet G4/5? Try book 1 of the Himie Voxman series for clarinet/flute duet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) oooh, i like the sound of the name! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Himie Voxman, you say? Will most definitely have a look (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Picked up my clarinet yesterday and had a proper practise session for the first time in around 6 months (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Apart from my lip not lasting for as long as I would have liked it went really well. Scales still sitting there under the surface which surprised me!! I will now be learning the Bernstein clarinet sonata (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clarinet.gif) Thats nice to hear... Keep going! And enjoy you journey (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clarinet.gif) |

King's Parade Brahms 1 movements 2&3 Mendelssohn Sonata in Eb Andante Stanford No3 of Three Intermezzi Have ditched King's Parade now, I wasn't enjoying practising it and don't think my teacher was all that keen on it anyway, there were no protestations when I said I didn't want to play it. So, down to the three pieces and a shuffle round. Teacher has suggested playing the Mendelssohn first as it starts as a clari solo and he thinks it will 'impress the examiner with your lovely tone' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) mmm, ok, will give it a go. Brahms will be second and still ending with the Stanford. Going to look for one more piece to keep ticking over too just in case the programme is a couple of minutes short once we get down to timing it properly. |

Thanks Barry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Looking at the list there aren't many others that I know, so am thinking of Gershwin - I got Rhythm. |

Hello Louise,
Should you have to pick the pieces from a specified list or can you choose piece you like? |
