YES! THE C WORD!!!!

I've been getting excited since we went back to school.... I love this country, there's just one thing to look forward to after the next. September is good because you get back into the rhythm of school, then you have halloween in October, then bonfire night in November, then my birthday, then the c word!!!!!

Ach, love it.

Definitely! I also love the way the seasons change just as I get sick of the last one. So I get really excited about summer, and sunbathing, spending hours outside being silly, eating lunch on the field at school, sports day, holidays, the seaside, and then suddenly ka-bang, it's summer!

Then I get a little sick of summer, and how hot it is, and that there's nothing that interesting really, and the summer holidays are being very boring, and I start to crave roasted chestnuts, pumpkin pie, and ache to watch fireworks and have a bonfire, then what do you know, it's autumn!

Then it's getting cold, and I start seeing things in shops I'd love, or getting ideas about making presents for people, and start thinking about my birthday, and how much I love my family and friends, and the joy of sitting in front of an open fire, being all toasty, and how excited people get when it snows. THEN IT'S WINTER!!

Then it gets a little too cold, and I get sick of it being dark at 5:30, and I wish there were flowers, and wondering when it will be lambing season, and I can visit my friend's farm. Then it's spring!

And so the whole cycle starts again. That's what has made me happy today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Finally found a practical but stylish pair of boots that actually fit AND were about half the price I expected to pay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif)

Ahhh thanks - everyone was really great, despite all their disclaimers about being no good! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

Wish I'd practiced a bit more really but then that wasn't the point of the whole thing. We'll arrange a duet at some point (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I was going through the Gnossiene this morning (inspired by DC) and think I'll probably be ok with it after a bit of time and practice... My teacher will slap her forehead tomorrow when she sees that I've found *another* piece I want to play. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) No bar lines just seems so wrong though...

It'll all happen again when I turn up with the Massenet sheet music the week afterwards! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) She must think I'm mental.
