Shall I bring a party hat (like those ones you find in Christmas crackers) with me next Wednesday? You can then put it on and I can tell you if you look like the Queen by comparing your face to the Queen's picture on a 10 pound note (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Not music ill agree, but anyway:

One of our ex-cubs brothers has recently joined cubs-- Anyway mum comes tonight and says (we have a camp coming up), "oh the elder one has been telling him all about camp- he says its the best one he's ever been to, apart from that one that happens every 100 years..."

Hi,

Newbie here! Although I have followed some threads here with interest1

I have been doing some voluntary work at one school, a wind band with children of primary school age. One lesson/ rehearsal whilst doing various things at once had a young flute player asking me a question. I couldn't hear whilst everyone was playing and motioned for her to ask me at the end of the piece.
She said quite loudly at the end "Miss, what colour did your hair used to be?"
( I have coloured my hair a few times recently, nothing drastic I might add, just a few shades lighter or darker)
With which I replied " er, brown, reddish brown"
"Did you WANT it to turn that colour Miss?"
Left me with a slightly reddish face!

Having seen the Queen recently, one little one was bursting with excitement......'We saw The Queeeeeeeeeen!!! She reminded me of you.' (Hang on, a few weeks ago you said I looked 26. I liked you a lot then). 'Yes..She's so gentle....& so are you'. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) '

I think your student is wrong - you remind me more of QE1. Look - she played the cello too!!!!!

As a viol player I cannot allow such gross anachronisms to go unchallenged.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
