I'm so happy with my grade 7 piano. I would've been happier if I got a Distinction. But a Merit's not bad is it? 127/150.
I skipped my grade 6 and I did get 130/150(Distinction) for my Grade 5 so Grade 7 Merit not bad is it?

Anyway,
I did
A2-Presto-By Hassler
B1-Esquisse-By Gliere
C6-Le petit ane blanc-By Ibert

Score.
A2- 27/30
Technically secure and stylish playing with good clarity of tune and texture. Some ornaments could be more tightly integrated(huh? can't read examiner's writing).

B1-26/30
An accurate reading as a whole at a reasonably stylish tempo. There is space for even more expresive detail and a slightly more relaxed tempo.

C6-28/30
Confident and musical playing, good in tempo and in attention to detail. Most secure in rhythmic foucus and ensemble with a fine staccato technique.

Scales-Group 2-19/21
A most fluent and musically phased response in all repects. Good in tone, ensemble and rhythmic consistency.

Sight Reading-17/21
Good in rhythmic continiuty and in tempo + R.H. notes. Some(Me: not some lots-Me thinks so anyway) L.H errors.

Aural Tests- DON'T LAUGH-10/18
LOL
These require more preparation. Only Cii & Ciii were satisfactory.

LOL. My aurals totally suck. I would've posted this sooner only nobody gave me access to the forums *rolls eyes*. Well i'm working towards Grade 8 now. Yay!
And i'm only 13.

Aurals at the later grades are hard, so don't worry. It just needs practice.

Woo well done that's a really great mark! Don't worry about the aurals, they just take a bit more practice than at the earlier grades! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That's a good result! I've gotten merit too after 3/4 year of preparations. I didn't fare too well in my scales with only a pass (silly isn't it? my teacher always says: "Scales are give-away marks") but I'm still clumsy during exams because of nervousness. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Everyone has problems in some things, so work up on your aurals. You have the major Grade 8 coming some time...just an encouragement. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
