Aren't 'project managers' people who successfully find ways to display pictures on cinema screens? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
Yes. Yes, that is all they do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Its a joke and a play on the word 'project'! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Good project managers are fantastic - you hardly notice they're there, but things run smoothly with all the bits you need being ready for when you need them, issues that start developing being headed off before they become big problems etc so that as a worker on a project you can concentrate your best efforts on "your bit" knowing that someone else is making sure all the various pieces will fit together.

Bad project managers just create more work for everyone without seeming to help at all. You always know they're there because they e-mail / call you at frequent intervals for "updates" that generally haven't changed since the last time and as well as doing your bit of the project you have to spend a sizeable portion of your time filling in milestone plans, risk registers etc and still you end up grinding to a halt because the bit you're dependent on hasn't happened yet.

Most project managers fall somewhere between the two extremes.

The cheap 'Poundstore' type shops usually sell them.

I've never seen one, Flossie. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Lucy, I'd try Poundworld and Poundland - they have all sorts of wonderful things! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oh man, there's a Yorkshire trading in my (tiny) town. I should've looked there I didn't think. I'll give the pound shops a try before I look anywhere else I think! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

While we're talking about shopping, does anyone know where you can buy the plastic clips for sealing cereal packets, etc? I have several given away free with cereal some years ago, and my son wanted some for uni (he is a bean freak, and has about 10 types of dried beans in packets, which would benefit from a clip), but we couldn't find any anywhere - not even in the Betterware catalogue!

Thanks, andante! I thought someone would know! Only problem is, the clips cost £1.69 and the p&p is £4.50 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Perhaps there'll be something else in the catalogue I need (the people who set these things up know what they're doing, don't they?!).
