I've just switched on BBC News 24. Apparently the most important thing happening in the World right now is the D of E's bladder infection - coverage went on for ages including estimate of how fast the ambulance was going when arriving at hospital and the route it took. For heavens sake!

Dad has been trying really hard today, things are much better so hopefully he's come to his senses. We even fed him.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Sorry for not giving you a reply yesterday. But I am happy to hear things start to get solved.

Sorry to read this. Hope you will find it again as soon as possible. Maybe after receiving your result?

Thanks... still no voice this morning and I'm meant to be meeting 2 friends for a catch up. Could be a very one-sided conversation!

QUOTE(Swell Box @ Aug 13 2012, 04:14 PM) *
My father-in-Law was diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic Cancer about three weeks ago. It has spread to his liver and as a result he suffering badly from Jaundice amongst other things.

He and my Mother-in-Law were due to go away on holiday in September. The chances are he won't make that far, but anyhow they cancelled the holiday, and claimed against the Holiday Insurance Scheme that they were persuaded to pay out for. Despite forms signed by the hospital, GP and McMillan Nurse, the insurance company refuse to pay out, saying that there is no reason why he shouldn't travel if he wants to.

They are also saying that his condition must have been 'pre-existing', (even thought it was not diagnosed), and that therefore any insurance is null and void.

Frankly these insurances are an absolute rip off. They are sold at extortionate prices on the promise of a worry-free holiday, but when you really need them they just don't want to know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

They needed the room, possibly?

I got rather cheesed off providing a space for my son's tv when he moved out.....

I share your sentiments but 1 piano = tv x6 space-wise.
My parents got rid of their piano while I was still at home and occasionally using it.

Waiting for my new OU textbooks to turn up, despite me being in all day Friday and the courier not leaving a card they claimed they tried to deliver it. The last update on the tracking number (12:09) says there may be a delay because the address is incomplete - somehow I doubt the OU didn't give them the right address so they've messed up somewhere, and when I phoned they said they don't currently know where the package is. Brilliant. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Except you tend to think these days that if people have a piano it's because they play it.
The piano was always my piano since I was the one who played it.

Tortellini, didn't they offer it you you when they decided to get rid?
