QUOTE(tamsin @ May 24 2010, 06:02 PM) *

Best of luck Nikki. It seems so weird that you started a year after me, and will sit you finals a year before me! Darn these 5 years courses. What on Earth was I thinking?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I don't know how I'd stick out a 5 year course! But hope any exams you have go well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have had a rubbish week, and it's only Tuesday. Turned up to the station yesterday to find that the rail company (Northern Rail - quite happy to name names in this case) had revised the timetable and, without prior consultation or warning, had removed from the timetable the train I depend on to get me into work on time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) [Oh, and the later service that they have put in its place (which gets in too late anyway) was then cancelled - !]

The net result of the change is that despite having 3 train stations within 5 miles of my home, I have to drive more than twice that distance to get to a different station which will provide me with a train that actually gets me into work on time. AND I have 4 months left to run on a season ticket which now covers several miles of journey I can no longer use (but have paid for). Grrrrrr...........

(Goes off to try to find someone official to complain to - not that complaining to such bodies ever makes any difference!)

I was supposed to be playing the organ for a wedding at another church this Saturday. Rang the bride-to-be this morning, only to be told that my services wouldn't be required after all, as they are now having someone else play.

They could've told me beforehand! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I feel like a zombie... New pain medication knocks me out for 12 hours, during which I am subjected to the most awful nightmares. I'm not sure it's worth it just to not be in pain. *sigh*

I think I'm getting RSI in my right wrist from using a computer mouse too much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm using the mouse left-handed today... This has only come on since I started playing games again too.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I'm sure it's nothing to do with piano.

Oooh, no fun Celeste. I remember the jolly good painkillers I was given, that were jolly good at killing pain, but also jolly good at leaving me rather high! Not good for writing essays, and strange to find oneself walking to lectures with a hand on the side of the building to make sure you go in a straight line.

Sympathise on the nightmares - a (non-painkilling) medication I take now, if I am dehydrated, I get horrid nightmares. Worse now the nights are getting hotter, as I can go to bed nicely hydrated but heat up and dehydrate overnight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm sure you'll be fine, and that you'll feel better once they've started. BerkshireSon has now done 6 of his 7, so I'd assumed you would have done one or two too; obviously they like to do the finalists last!

Very best of luck when they do start. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well....I'm revising for c4, the most evil A level maths module in existence....EVER! nuff said (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) - it's frustrating because I'm on track for an A* overall, but this module is the one that could tip it too far the other way and mean I miss out... hmmmmph! It's fine though, I'm seeing my teacher on Thursday following my rant! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

You don't do Further Maths then? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) no, I don't think I'd last very long if I did!!!!
Thankfully things are starting to look up; I got 88% on a practice paper today - a vast improvement on the 13% I got yesterday, which fuelled the arghhhh! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)
