It isn't like I haven't been preparing for my Grade 3 flute exam since the signup said "Nov/Dec", but since ABRSM had cashed my cheque I did expect to hear from them officially.
I got concerned and called the closest representative and found out the exam would be in 10 days (Tampa, Florida, USA). I quickly found hotel accomodations and mapped out my four hour drive and directions to the exam location. I just hope the examiner will have what he/she needs to administer the exam. The stats say 4% of candidates flunk, so I guess I have 96% probability of passing. This will be my first ABRSM exam, so I do not have any feeling for how bad my scales, aural, and sight reading can be to still pass. I feel pretty good about my prepared works - they should pass easily, but the other things I don't have a good feeling about. tovli |

Look for the section in here which expains how marks are allocated.
It gives a clear explanation of the marking criteria. Page 34 is the one you need. |
