Hi
I'm thinking of taking a DipABRSM diploma in instrumental teaching. One of the requirements is an essay of about 1800 words. Has anyone done this exam and how many books/articles did you read as research for the written submission? (Or did you just follow your intuition and not use this kind of material at all?) Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks. |

Thanks, Margaret.
That's helpful. No, 1800 words doesn't seem very much - particularly after having had to write much longer essays at university. I'll try to track down some relevant articles/books etc... Ben (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Ben (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I've just done the teaching dip myself, havent got the results yet though so I dont know if my written submission was any good. However, preparing for this really made me reflect on my teaching and I learnt a lot from it. Even if I dont pass, it was a worthwhile experience (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The exam is very enjoyable as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
