> Yay, Yay And Yay Again!, Grade 8 is mine...
An oboist...

I did my grade 8 oboe three weeks ago, and got the result this morning, just after a French GCSE listening mock (yawn).
I got a distinction (136/150) - I was so pleased as it really rewarded the work...
Best things were my piece marks - 28/30 for a Vivaldi concerto, 30/30 for the 2nd mvt of the Saint Saens sonata and 28/30 in a Bach study. I'm really happy (as you can probably, by now, tell).
The Aural was rather more lack-lustre, but I'm more worried about performance marks, so hey! It does, however, beg the question of what might have been had I not got supertonic and relative minors mixed TWICE. No, don't hypothesise (if that can be used as a verb)
Sorry people, but I needed a place to vent my happiness as my family isn't in yet, and my bike is STILL in the shop (and just in case there are any bike-heads here, having DMR Crisis canks and MRP System 3 chainguide put on mmmmm...)
End of slightly logic-lacking post.
Ed
