we have netgear firewall installed on our computer, but it has started being really weird. It won't even let me go onto google(!) or any other search engines. I can't work out how to change the settings or turn it off but i can;t find them. And i have so much research to do as well grrrr (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) . CAn anyone help?!?!

Are you sure that's the firewall, not just some sort of bug? Try doing a System Restore (that's if you're running Windows XP) to when you know it last worked. If that doesn't work, try the Control Panel. I don't know how NetGear works exactly, but it's worth a look.

I wouldn't do system restore just yet, you *might* loose some saved info unnecssearily.

If it's just search engine pages, it's something to do with your settings. Have your parents put up a child protection block on certain pages? Sometimes that can block search engines.

No idea how to turn it off before, but if a parent put it on, then they might know how to take it off. Or log on as them as a user?
