The Chain-Fleetwood Mac
My dad once mis-quoted the lyrics to this as "If you don't love me now, s** off, don't go making a blooming song and dance about it!" I still can't listen to it without giggling (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Radio 3: Mahan Esfahani playing Bach on a harpsichord: first, two movements from J.S.Bach's Goldberg Variations then a piece by his elder brother, Johann Christophe. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

There's Big Brother on Channel 4, but listening to a Boeing 747 take off is more pleasureable... |

Not too many 747s around here, although RAF Fairford isn't that far away and there are always plenty of vapour trails to be seen criss-crossing the skies in the morning, on a clear day. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Must've just missed it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'm definitely hearing a gravicembalo, not a clavicembalo! But Montiverdi Vespers at the Proms just starting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I'm definitely hearing a gravicembalo, not a clavicembalo! Nevertheless, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/howDoYouDo.gif) Yes indeed! It has my vote, so I'll defer a further piano practice in favour of Monteverdi's mellifluous tones. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Yes, but only for radio, not TV. Can't get Channel 4 or anything else from the UK either so I couldn't Orchestra United... I'm hearing Radio3 live right now (sitting at work, supposed to be on my lunch break)... says my bandwith isn't good enough for streaming but it's working just fine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Dr Who at the Proms ... my husband has it on in the background. I don't quite get it ..... Is it all music that has been on Dr Who or what? (I could be being amazingly dense here .....)

More or less, yes. With actors and suchlike live on stage, including Matt Smith. There are also screens showing relevant Dr Who clips (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
