I think i did really well not sure what paper I got tho it was the one which asked the meaning of maestoso I didnt get that one right.:) Does anybody know what way these theory grades are marked? Do you get a mark like a pass merit and Distinction?

i dont think ive done brilliant but fingers crossed ive passed! i compose dthe melody for a flute but god knows what it actually sounds like!!

the cadences were easy and so were the intervals

It's out of 100:

90 Gets you a distinction;
80 A merit;
66 A pass.

You all got the same paper... paper B is the one for this exam session.
'A' is the spring one and 'C' is the winter one.

oh god- did grade 8 theory today- a disaster! I'm so depressed- I actually think I've failed it! :( I don't suppose anyone else out there was doing grade 8 today??

It means 'majestically'. Im doing grade 5 theory next term. Yes, you do get pass merit or distinction.

from what i remember the cadences were 2-5-1 and 4-1. Did anyone actually bother learning all the words from the back of the book?:) Thats the bit that will bring me down a bit the rest was very well practiced.
