Just had my first driving lesson, it was good, but scary and a bit overwhelming. Apparently I need gear practice!

Yup!! That's the hardest part. It's like playing a musical instrument you just need loads of practice and then it will be second nature.

There's that crazy thing that comes form clutch and acclerator unco-ordination that makes the car jump forwards in spurts like a kangaroo. Practically ALL learners will do this at some point, but once you've got the co-ordination it becomes impossible to do it again.

(But you could however get an automatic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) or is that cheating (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

It's a manual...I just don't know where the gears are!

If it has a 1.3 engine, it is very short on grunt and refinement (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

It's a Mitsubishi Colt
