Just sounded very wrong somehow. I agree, children should be allowed to be children...

(Is someone keeping a list?) Well, although CE is the King of Lists, I'll start this one off...so far, the lady members of OLTVA (Old-Ladies' Traditional Values Association) are as follows: rosfrog ~ Renie (Founder) Boo Radley ~ Gladys/Mabel sarah-flute ~ Doris Cyrilla ~ Gertrude andante in c ~ Peggy bobifier ~ Georgina (hmm, not sure this one is 'old-lady' enough, bobifier!) katyjay ~ Maud sbhoa ~ Ethel Amber ~ Winifred janexxx ~ Edna Choddy ~ Agatha Oddball ~ Alfred (ALFRED??? What's he doing in an Old Ladies' association??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Turf him out immediately, Oddball, and ask him to send his wife along instead (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

OLTVA????? Lil, Flo, Nell, Daisy, Vi, Una, Cissie, Madge, Elsie, Freda, Olive and Lavinia |

noodle - who were you? You've only done one other post (about the video) in this thread? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I would pick one of diapason's wonderful list, Oddball!
You and CE are showing your age by thinking that Deirdre and Judith are 'old ladies'' names...they belong to MY contemporaries (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Diapason, you just have to read the whole thread to know why rosfrog decided to set up OLTVA! Noodle, I haven't seen which name you've chosen... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

And Mum says, you can use her name as well
Molly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Edit.......Just read the thread and I, too am an old fashioned geezer. Today, for example, my first piano pupil is all of 12 years old (girl) and arrives wearing jeans which look as though someone forgot to sew on the top bit. I spent the next hour DESPERATELY trying to avoid a vision of what I will now call Pianists ######......or the Great Divide......sorry to be crude, but you get the picture. For heavens sake..........she's twelve, looking like she's on her way to a pin-up calender modelling session. I will add as far as I'M concerned.........She's QUITE safe !!!!!!! Are you joining, diapason? Hmmm - again, I'm not sure about Molly - I know quite a few of those who are under 16...
Don't think it's quite 'you', somehow! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
