Creative? "Brilliant"? "Genius"? Innovative?
OR... Unmusical? "Wierd"? Experimental? Boring? What is your opinion of EM? Personally, I think his music is great... I have the soundtrack to "Once Upon A Time In The West" on my iRiver - it's that good!! Anybody wanna comment? |

Theme for Jill McBain is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. I love all that sound track.
Fistful of Dynamite is pretty good too, especially where it goes back in time to Ireland. If you want to hear some excerpts: http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/onceupont...ostextended.htm scroll down to no.25 to hear a snippet of beautiful singing. Gawd...now I'm going to have to watch the film again... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

So"The Mission" is the name of the film and "Gabriel's Oboe" is a track from the film? Is that right? who starred in the film and what is it about? Is the soundtrack as good as the soundtrack from "once upon a time in the west" does anyone think?

Is he the chap who wrote Gabriel's Oboe? He is indeed Sarah - and that is such a lovely piece of music! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I have the piano music - it came as a 2 piece, an accompaniment and also the piano version - got it from here: http://www.musicroom.com/Search/gsearch.as...el's+oboe++ it is so beautiful - a friend of mine plays it on the flute and has played it at a few weddings / funerals. Bet there wouldn't be too many dry eyes at either! Unfortunately I can't quite capture the atmosphere of the whole thing on my piano in my living room, but it is jolly nice to play all the same. Also, I have never seen the movie, so I have no idea if it's worth watching or not! Elizabeth |
