I love Meatloaf 'It's all coming back to me now'. Not my all time favourite, dunno if I could choose one.

Bohemian Rhapsody (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) also Nat King Cole singing that Christmas song but that's probably because it reminds me of my dad (passed away 18 years ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ) Billie Jean and Vienna are amongst my favourites also (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

I prefer soft, melodic songs really. My all time faviourite I think has to be We Have All the Time in the World by Louis Armstrong.

Have just finished loading a few hundred CDs into iTunes, and in the process rediscovered lots of old favourites: Morphine - Cure for Pain, Martin Stephenson and the Daintees - Wholly Humble Heart, Aztec Camera - Oblivious / Somewhere in My Heart, lots of other 80s stuff. Also love Aretha singing "Say a Little Prayer" and "Son of a Preacher Man", in fact lots of Motown stuff. Mustn't forget Simon & Garfunkel Bridge over Troubled Water and Sound of Silence. And now I come to think of it I realise I've lost a Fine Young Cannibals CD somewhere.....Oh and I heard Kirsty McColl's version of "In These Shoes" on the radio the other day, it makes me smile every time I hear it. Now I've joined the iPod generation I must see if I can download it. Don't think I'll ever be able to choose an all time favourite.

I have been listening to a Police Cd and Englishman in New York and Seven Days are definitely two of my favourites. Englishman in New York reminds me of my brother who lives over there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That's so hard!!!
Bohemian Rhapsody is amazing
You've got a Friend by Carole King always makes me cry now
Streets of London, not sure who it's by, has that chord sequence which I love and is just so comforting, also reminds me of sitting on a school playground in the dark at a camping and caravanning club folk group meet with one guy singing and playing his guitar and the rest of us singing along if we knew it or just listening.
Time by Sandi Thom is one of my favourite new songs at the moment.
Also I think Kirsty MacColl is great, love her voice and her songs, especially There's a Guy works down the Chip Shop Swears he's Elvis (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm not quite sure, apart from a christmas card this year we hadnt heard from him for nearly four years, apparently he is sending a letter. --- No news is good news right?

It reminds me of him because he is 'an Englishman in New York' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

"I'm a legal alien !" Yes I guess no news is probably good news. That's what I reckon when my (grown-up) kids are away from home.

Was this song written for Quentin Crisp? I think it was.

I thought it was. Quentin once said if you left a house dirty long enough, it would start to clean itself!! Some advice I've taken on board, and practice regularly!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
