Hi all, me again! Good to see this thread is so active - keep it going!
Here's another contribution from me. Did anyone go see the 100 Harp Orchestra in the foyer of the Millenium Centre in Cardiff today? It was to open the 8th European Harp Symposium, this year being held in Wales. If not, don't worry - I've uploaded loads of clips onto youtube this evening! This one is probably the best. If you see a lady in green/turqouise, that's my tutor Glenda! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kJuWnD8HFW0 |

Hi folks.
Sorry to keep harping on (excuse the pun) but I did some more filming of my tutor, Glenda Clwyd, for Youtube tonight. Man, she blows me away! She is SO good! Enjoy: Cavatina - Myers http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=OpfkVr2CAjU Maple Leaf Rag - Scott Joplin http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AXYU4RLU_0s Welsh Folk Medley - Improvised (hehe - she looks exhausted after this one) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0YzSx9P_QlM Let's have some more of your clips! |

Hi guys, me again! I've been busy this evening. My tutor is making her first foray onto Youtube, and I filmed three short pieces for her this evening. I'd like to share them with you: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3C6dhl7HaYU http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lUL5y5X14mk and my personal favourite: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=k2bpKEkbWBM As this is her first time on Youtube could you take a moment to add a comment and a nice rating? She would be so chuffed!!! Cheers all! After watching all these harp clips I really want to learn the pedal harp! You got that too? im in love with the harp now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |

She's a fantastic player, but that's a rubbish transcription of Classical Gas. The first line melody is (B) C B C A C not that funny arpeggio thing she plays. Compare the original. |

Let's keep this thread alive! There must be more people out there with clips they want to share? Events they attended or participated in? Beginners keen to share their films? Tutors with clips for us?
Post them here! |

I've got some too - not "classical" but here goes:
Carolan: Si Bheag Si Mhor on Pilgrim gut-strung lever harp Squire Wood's Lamentation on the Refusal of his Halfpence (you've got to learn a piece with a title like that) La Partida - by FM Alvarez on a Paraguayan harp Carolan's Dream on Pilgrim gut-strung lever harp All my own arrangements and a lot of fun to do. I only totalled about 49 bluebells making the first of these. Mark |

I would love to be able to play the harp. |

For the first time in an age I've posted two new clips on Youtube. I'm chipping away at the harp, slowly and carefully. I've made a bit of progress, as I hope you will see from the following: The Judges Dance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvXe5t39FyQ Ye Banks and Braes with new improved glisses! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-6n4n2_yC0 |
