Love the photo. I've got similar shots of my Alexander and now he's started lessons with me at the age of 6.

Go Lady M and Arthur.

lol! Thanks everyone!

I think he does enhoy the piano even though he's so tiny. He loves to listen to me play. He thinks its great fun to sit on my lap at the piano and bash it as hard as he can!

The trouble is he wants to do it everytime he sees a piano! We went into a music shop to get my Grade 6 singing pieces and he got really excited when he saw all the pianos and started crying when we walked past them - he wanted to have a bash (the old guy who was tuning the pianos though t it was really cute!)

Then we went to a mum and baby group in a local church hall and he got really excited again when he saw the piano there - he just had to have a little bash on it! So that was his first public performance lol!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He got a round of applause as well.

My brother says that what Arthur plays doesn't sound a lot unlike some of the Contemporary, sequencing pieces he's had to play this semester at College (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Perhaps they were composed by 7 month old babies too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

When he's a bit older he's going to start lessons, either with me (I'm doing Grade 8 so hopefully will have my teacher's cert by then (or with my teacher). I'd like him to have singing lessons too!

What I found fascinating with my daughters when they were about two or three was that when they played the piano they looked like they knew how to play because they were such good mimics at that age. Other people's children used to come round and just bash on the piano but my two would use all fingers of both hands and the whole keyboard.

My grandaughter likes the piano too.
She'll be coming on the morning of the Stalybridge concert to check out all the other lovely noisy toys....(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

There are photos of me clunking on the piano at the age of 2 or 3!

And we sat our choir baby at the organ at the age of 8 months (switched off and with support!)
