My scooter did inexplicably die on me this morning (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) had to be 'recovered' luckily dad has a recovery vehicle so no cost to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Anyone here superstitous? (I really dont think i'm spelling that right (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) )
Or had any spooky friday the thirteenth incidents?

EDIT: p.s i realise my incident was in no way spooky and is more than likely a product of never having my bike serviced

I mentioned to the kids this morning that Friday the 13th is supposed to be unlucky. However since today is the last day of term, they said it was more like the luckiest day of the year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

My mum was born on a Friday the 13th, and she sees to be OK (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have so far had 14 birthdays on Friday the 13th, and as my daughter shares my birthday (she was born on my 29th), she will have had 7 I think.

Not superstitious, but my singing teacher and I mutually cancelled a lesson as neither of us was up to it today.

Im really really superstisous and before exams or concerts i always have to be weairng a four leaf clover or shamrock! I also avoid ladders and dread breaking a mirror.

Today being Friday the 13th worries me a little so i try not to think about it!
I dont remember anything spooky happening on this date though!

I was bit worried about putting my car in for its MOT today, but I got a call ealier to say it only needed a tiny piece of pipe replacing which costs next to nothing so I'm very happy!

I'm not superstitious (the calendar is arbitrary, after all...) but coincidentally, more 13ths of the month are Fridays than any other day.

Well I was flying back from Poland today!! Nothing out of the ordinary happened though, everything went to plan.
I myself am not supersticious, but I do find that sort of thing interesting though.

I've had a good day... my pupils' exam results arrived which were fantastic... 2 of my 3 children broke up from school (I like having my kids home... less stress....) and I went out for lunch and my husband is cooking tea.... 2 of my kids have a friend staying... and they are all milling around... that makes me feel good ( I know I'm strange but I like having lots of kids in my house.

Now Friday 15th June was a bad day for me... I broke down and hit a bollard and had a piano exam... but Friday 13th's been great.

I was born on a Friday 13th

I was christened on a 13th

I passed my MB BS on a Friday 13th

I passed my FRCS Ed on a Friday 13th

I got my Senior Registrar job on a Friday 13th

I got my Consultant job on a 13th

I moved into my current house on a 13th

None of these dates were planned that way, they just happened!

I am, needless to say, not remotely superstitious. However, If I am in competition with someone else who is supersticious I think that will give me an edge. Therefore, knowing that a lot of other people are silly like that, on Friday 13th's I always feel a little more positive and optimistic than normal, and so far as I can remember nothing bad has ever happened to me on a Friday 13th.

Incidentally I sometimes operate with a colleague who was born on Halloween! There are one or two nurses who are really freaked-out when they discover this.
