QUOTE(Robodoc @ Jul 14 2007, 04:31 PM) *

I was born on a Friday 13th

I was christened on a 13th

I passed my MB BS on a Friday 13th

I passed my FRCS Ed on a Friday 13th

I got my Senior Registrar job on a Friday 13th

I got my Consultant job on a 13th

I moved into my current house on a 13th

A lot of people here take the opposite view and consider Friday 13 to be a lucky day.

My birthday falls on a 13th but I'm not superstitious.

Once somebody told me that Christmas was on a Friday 13th that year and I believed them.

It's so easy to be fooled like that. I was talking with a group of friends the other day and the subject of using solar panels to charge a car battery came up (as it does!). One person complained it took a long time. Someone suggested charging the battery overnight . . .

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) .. if someone said that to me, it would take me a while to realise what they had said. I can be quite slow at times (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

My violin broke on Friday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (the 13th).
Well technically, I broke my violin on Friday 13th
I was holding it oh so carefully and putting it down on the table and it leapt out of my hand and rolled over a few times and the bridge broke...
Anyway it's fixed now =]

Although my brother was 13 on Friday 13th (This is going back like 5 years now xD) and he was fine xD

Many years ago (1995 I think)- when I was at work on a Friday 13th, my wife saw a Magpie tapping on the window at home....

When I was cycling back from work, a car in front of mar braked very hard and I went into the back of it- I woke up in the middle of the road unable to see because of all the blood in my eyes, the impact had broken my glasses and left a glasses shaped cut around my eyes- I needed about six stitches around my eyes.

I'm not superstitious at all. Haven't got the time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Rob, I couldn't care whether a surgeon and anaesthetist were Dr Frankenstien and Dracula as long as they did a good job. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

There is a chess opening called the Frankenstein-Dracula variation (of the Vienna opening.) There are also the hippopotamus, the flying fox, the fried liver, the monkeys b-um (a variation of the modern defence) and a myriad of other wierd and wonderful names.
