Hello everyone,

I've entered one of my saxophone pupils into a Grade 2 exam at the end of this year. The closing date for entries was 23rd July, I sent my entry in a week before this date.

I'm getting a bit anxious as it has been nearly a month now and I've had no correspondence from the branch, despite the fact that my cheque was banked rather promptly.

I'm sorry if I sound a bit paranoid, but this is the first student I've ever entered for an exam and I want things to go smoothly, and I just wanted to know if this kind of wait was the norm.

Thankyou very much

It is usual in the Uk not to get dates until quite close to the time of the exam.

I think I normally get an acknowledgement a couple of weeks after the entries go in; the actual details of time etc follow much later.
I guess from your closing date that you are not in the UK, and so it may work differently. However I agree that a month is quite a long time, and I think I would get in touch just to check all is well. Can't do any harm !

Thankyou for your responses. No I'm not in UK maggiemay, I'm in New Zealand. I'll contact the branch manager this afternoon and let you all know how I get on.
