When selecting "view new posts" I got my post of the 29th coming as the last post on the thread
Memorising, Is It Taught Enough?, or is it a waste of time?

I have checked this 3 times - still the same. My first throught was that someone was posting in my name (not possible on this computer) but no - it is my comment - just 4 days old and I have been using the "view new posts" facility twice a day.

I am confuzzled (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Is it a poll? If it's a poll, it moves up to being new if someone has voted - even if nobody has added an extra post to the thread...

I've only seen it happen in the GMF for some reason.

I don't use the 'View New Posts' facility, but I sometimes find that the first thread on each page is marked as unread when I previously marked it as read...

Does it show up as new if it's been edited? I think I might have seen that happen.

I know it shows up as new if one posts twice in a row and the two posts get merged.

Occasionally posts just randomly show up as unread, too, when you've definitey read them and no one has posted. Gremlins.

But yes, it's a poll and that's why in this case I think.
