As you can imagine, it wasn't very lively for BerkshireSon, and as he knew he would have GCSE mocks on return to school, he decided to do a GCSE exam paper. A few years back I took the level 2 astronomy and planetary science courses, and really enjoyed them. Then they announced the level 3 follow on astro courses - which I'd love to do. The recommendations are that you have level 2 astro, physics and maths courses - and I only had the astro. So I looked at the level 2 physics and maths courses, and then decided to start with a level 1 maths course to cover the basics, as I only did AS level maths (and A level physics), and that was 1994. So next year should be level 2 physics, the year after level 2 maths, and then after that I might be brave enough to try the level 3 courses... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Of course, if the funding changes change again (and again and again and again) and I have to pay the new full price, then the mysteries of the universe will have to be put aside; then I reckon it will be the mysteries of higher-grade theory I attempt then! |
