A postcard has arrived at our house this morning. It's a bit delayed, but has obviously been delivered as a result of the Royal Mail clearing their backlog.
It's addressed to the people who occupied the house at the time it was posted....in 1978. It has a comment on it "We will probably arrive back before this card does". An uncannily accurate prophecy as it turns out. |

Just to change the subject, a Christmas present I'd ordered for someone was delivered today and I've been playing with it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) That's great Skylark! My brother would love one, where did you buy it? (I'm not sure that his wife will love it quite so much - but I'm willing to risk it.)(IMG:http://www.toysgamesgifts.co.uk/thumbnails/wheel_alarm_clock.jpg) When the alarm goes off, the tyre spins round and makes a noise like a racing car revving and then screeching to a halt. You switch it off by moving the gear lever to neutral (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

i don't know what to read. "read" looks as though i have misspelt it. "misspelt" looks as though it should be "missspelt".

In the contrast to all the other variables in music its funny how music is bound by time signatures. 4/4 for example...Isn't it like the equivilant of making paper only rectangle?..for drawing and painting I mean.

My feet hurt... and my legs... and my head.
I really should wear more sensible shoes to parties that I intend to dance at. I try and get atleast some sleep after them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) |

I don't have the foggiest what you're on about. Well. Basically! there must have once been a time me when music didnt have time signatures and somewhere along the timeline people were writing music and for some reason 4 beats in a bar stuck, so did 3 beats but less so and so on. I just thought it was strange that the 2 main things that make up music pitch and time have so much freedome but the number of beats in a bar doesnt change much at all. |

The flats line up so neatly on a stave - whatever the clef - why not the sharps?

Judging by the state of my study ALL my thoughts have been random today. Or else I've been searched by the Conversation Police. Or maybe it's my kitten again. is your kitten a metaphysical kitten? does it appear inside your head? Alright, break it up you two... I haven't a random thought in my head It really is time that I went to my bed. My thoughts have been ordered and Tidy today - so what can I post? What can I say? At the risk of annoying the Dialogue Cops I refer to my kitten Who stole my lamb chops. She is not metaphysical Not in my head And the chops and the mouse are still under my bed. |

The flats line up so neatly on a stave - whatever the clef - why not the sharps? Yes they do! The flats form two neat rows though.....and so could the sharps if the A was positioned higher on the treble, bass and alto clefs...... |
