Oh dear (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) it probably wasn't funny at the time but I hope you can see the funny side of it now otherwise you won't be very happy with me laughing about it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Barry, honestly ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) : )

I never took one. My daughter failed her cycling proficiency test aged 10 because the examiner didn't see her look over her shoulder at one point and put on the form that she omitted to do it. She claimed he was talking to someone else at the time. She never bothered taking another one.

(ed) this thread is becoming much too un-random, quick, somebody, off topic !

I've just changed the colour of my MSN window from green to yellow.

Will that do? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I usually eat pretty healthily.

But there are occasions when only chips will do.

This is one of those occasions... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My daughter has had her arm in plaster for the past four and a half weeks. This hasn't stopped her playing the trombone in the junior wind band at her school. When I picked her up yesterday she said to me gleefully: "You know what Mummy, today one of the saxophonists had his leg in plaster."

I wonder, if you're having a day where you feel completely uninspired about writing an essay, should you just sit down and force yourself to write, or leave it til the next day when you have to do it one way or another?

I tend to leave it, but then I never feel any more inspired the next day, so it might not be the best of ideas!

Depends how much time you've got.
If you're going to have to write it tomorrow anyway I would try to write something tonight (or perhaps I should say write anything) don't worry if it is good or bad. It will at least give you a basis to start from tomorrow - even if it is only to decide that that is not the way you want to approach the subject.

Apparently you can get dents out of carpets by putting an ice cube on them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I'm not quite sure if I believe it, but I have an ice cube sitting on my floor waiting to prove me wrong. That is assuming the dog doesn't eat it, or I don't step on it first!
