I really must do some revision. These bar numbers are not going to learn themselves! Nothing like leaving it till the day before the exam, then leaving it longer... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Expensive... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I could get a basic one for less than my current concert flute cost, but they are still expensive.

If my old concert flute sold (it's currently on the second hand listing at the shop where I bought my new one) then I would be able to put the money together...

I need to take my flute back down to the shop in the next few weeks to get it a service done while its still under warranty. I'm thinking of trying out alto flutes at the same time and seeing what ones I like, then I'll keep an eye on the second hand listings...

*dreams of alto flutes* (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Are you doing Edexcel, Sarah? I'm rather frustrated at having to memorise all the pieces! I'm sure taking a score into the exam instead would demonstrate more skill than just having to remember everything...

Good luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/party1.gif)

It would make life easier, wouldn't it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

After mucking around with numbers in excel for a while, I've worked out that I only need to learn 22 bar numbers that I didn't know already, which is quite a lot less than I thought I would need to learn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It's not the history part that's worrying me though, it's the listening. We've had about 20 mins on it in lessons all year and I'm having to result to learning the pieces in order to answer the questions rather than actual listening. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) I'm getting quite good at answering the questions without even listening to the extract once. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
